I saw the newest Conservative MP for Mississauga South named Eve Adams and immediately thought of the play on words of her name "Adam and Eve" which led me to Google the proper description of such a condition.

Double Entendre - a figure of speech in which a spoken phrase is devised to be understood in either of two ways. Often the first (more obvious) meaning is straightforward, while the second meaning is less so: often risqué, inappropriate, or ironic.

Bowdlerization - Expurgation is a form of censorship which involves purging anything deemed noxious or offensive, usually from an artistic work. 

Oxymoron - phrase of opposite meanings - military intelligence (military operations demand anything but intelligence just blind compliance), jumbo shrimp (obvious image) or modern primitive.

Spoonerism - an error in speech or deliberate play on words in which corresponding consonants, vowels, or morphemes are switched. [I think of the term "The dear old Queen" becomes "The Queer old Dean"]

None apply - but the idea remains.
